Classic route to the second highest point in Europe (2993 m) which is legally accessible by motorized vehicle. The track ends at about 2850 meters due to snow.
It is likely that you will not be able to reach the top depending on snow conditions. Even in August!
The Track comes with some difficulty, always due to snow as you climb higher.
The highest summit in Europe that can be reached is the Col du Jandri (3151m), from the Deux Alps, but currently, due to the interruption of the road near Lake Chambon, it can only be reached by a long detour.
The third highest point, the Pic de Chateau Renard (2930m) is currently no longer accessible due to restrictions.
